Garena Free Fire, a famous battle royale mobile game that competes with PUBG, has vanished from Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Last month, Krafton filed two separate lawsuits attempting to get Garena Free Fire banned. According to the Korean developer, Garena is allegedly plagiarising game concepts and components from PUBG Mobile.

Furthermore, Krafton has filed a second case against Google and Apple to allow Garena Free Fire via their respective app stores. In addition, the PUBG developer sued YouTube for enabling broadcasters to broadcast Garena Free Fire on the video site.
“Battlegrounds’ patented distinctive game-opening ‘airdrop’ element, the game structure and play, the combination and selection of weapons, armor, and unique items, locales, and the overall choice of color schemes, materials, and textures,” according to Krafton’s complaint.
There is no indication if the game will be removed from the Play Store due to litigation or other issues. It is also unknown if individuals who have previously installed the game can still play it. Meanwhile, the improved version of Garena Free Fire, Garena Free Fire Max, is still accessible on Google Play but not on the Apple App Store.

It started a few hours ago when both games were abruptly pulled from the Apple App Store without explanation. The game is presently unavailable for download on either mobile store, and it does not appear in search results when the name is typed in. Those who have previously downloaded Free Fire have been able to play it but with limited success. Players have been experiencing difficulty login into the game for the previous 24 hours, claiming that technical issues prevented them from doing so.
